a trend I’m fascinated by….like slow food but to put on your body instead of in it…..pure ingredients/materials…quality cooking/workmanship…and some personal spice/flavor/color/accessory…..

  1. This is a great trend that any person can pull off…it’s classic, trendy in its own right, and no matter how it’s coordinated, it always looks stylish. One of those slow trends that will last forever.

  2. Slow fashion is a concept that goes hand in hand with sustainability and green fabrications. It is good to see a designer like yourself interested in this along with green fabrics. Question, as a fashion designer how do you accommodate the fast changing seasonal trends of fashion and still create garments that are timeless in style that customers can keep and wear for years like that favorite sweatshirt we all have. After all timeless design along with long lasting workmanship and pure materials is what makes slow fashion cool.

  3. the fast changing trends are a part of what “fashion” is but your favorite sweatshirt is an equally valid part….as a fashion designer I am interpreting what I see and feel in the world around me into clothing. That can be a new sleeve shape or a lifestyle concept. What we wear is a reflection of who we are, it’s our first impression to others and a sort-of snap-shot representation of our lifestyle. I don’t think any man-made product is really “timeless” but that doesn’t mean it should only be good for one season. As a designer and a consumer I’m seeing and feeling a big shift in our society towards sustainable products and a respect for our planet. As a designer I’m thinking of this a a long term trend and interpreting it into clothing….
